Leslie Tribbey is a seasoned nurse with over eight years of experience in pediatrics. Leslie has worked with children in various settings since the age of 20. She began her career as a children’s first aid provider at a summer camp, managing the administration of medication to children as well as providing emotional support to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Leslie then gained experience in an acute setting, working in a pediatric emergency room. Upon graduating from Purdue University in 2016, Leslie went on to be a neonatal nurse at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where she cared for infants with medical and surgical conditions associated with the complications of prematurity. The past 4 years she has worked with children in the primary care setting from birth through young adulthood to prevent and manage pediatric acute and chronic illnesses.
Leslie believes every child has the right to a healthy body, mind, and spirit. Her goal as a nurse practitioner is to help infants reach developmental milestones and help toddlers grow and interact with the world around them. In addition, she aims to educate preteens and adolescents to create healthy habits that will take them into adulthood. She is currently working to publish her DNP project titled Social Media Safety Anticipatory Guidance in the Pediatric Primary Care Setting, which focuses on improving safety and mental health outcomes for adolescents.
Leslie holds a Bachelors degree in Nursing from Purdue University and a Doctorate of Nursing degree from Baylor University. She spends her free time with her two young daughters and her dog named Belle. Leslie primarily sees patients at our Mesquite location.
