Kirsten Calame, CPNP
Kirsten grew up in a military family and spent most of her early life on the west coast. She graduated from Chugiak High School in Eagle River, Alaska in 1999 and moved to Illinois for college. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville in 2003 and began working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). After several years of working in the NICU, she went back to school at Saint Louis University to earn her Master’s of Science in Nursing. She transitioned to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit while earning her Master’s and moved to Dallas upon graduating in 2010. She has 15 years of experience working in pediatrics and maintains certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). She has 8 years of experience as a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and loves caring for children. She believes all children should receive the best of care and treats every patient she sees as if they are her own. She and her husband have two sons and live in Forney, Texas.
